Squid Game’s Reality Show Spinoff Is Garnering Controversy Due To ‘Inhumane’ Practices

When Squid Game first aired on Netflix, it lit up the world. It was a show about contestants going through horrible games in the hopes of winning untold riches, and when they failed, all of the other contestants died. This apparently inspired Netflix executives to turn this Korean drama into a reality show, which has already begun filming.

The spin-off show will obviously not harm any of the contestants who fail, but the games in this show are reportedly inspired by its namesake, and audiences can’t wait for it to air. It will also be one of the biggest reality shows ever, with over 450 players expected to compete, making it one of the biggest udnertakings in reality show history.

The Squid Game reality show’s jackpot will be $4.56 million.

According to the official statement, this is the most money ever given to anyone in a television show, but it also makes it a high-stage show. “The stakes are high, but the worst fate in this game is going home empty-handed.” However, a recent controversy has erupted, with anonymous players speaking out about the inhumane practices taking place behind closed doors. Some players have described it as not only “inhumane,” but also “rigged.”

It was just the cruelest, meanest thing I’ve ever been through. We were a human horse race, and they were treating us like horses out in the cold racing, and [the race] was fixed.

However, Netflix Studio has denied all of these allegations, claiming that they are taking all necessary safety precautions and that all of these allegations are simply lies.

We care deeply about the health of our cast and crew, and the quality of this show. Any suggestion that the competition is rigged or claims of serious harm to players are simply untrue. We’ve taken all the appropriate safety precautions, including after care for contestants – and an independent adjudicator is overseeing each game to ensure it’s fair to everyone.
