Fans Rejoice As Disney Announces A Revival Of ‘Phineas And Ferb’

Phineas and Ferb is a show that many people enjoyed, whether they were children when it first aired or adults who rewatched it. Personally, I remember watching this show on TV and anticipating it every week. That is why it is such a relief to hear that the titular show will be revived.

The reason for this is that co-creator Dan Povenmire signed a deal with Disney, so you will soon be able to watch Phineas and Ferb on the Disney channel or through your Disney+ subscription. Not only that but Hamster & Gretel will return for a second season, which is fantastic news for fans of the show.

The revival will consist of 40 episodes in total.

While we did get two films after Phineas and Ferb’s four seasons ended in 2015, it wasn’t enough. So now we have two more seasons with beloved characters like Phineas, Ferb, and even Candance. (Who can forget the infamous Squirrels in my pants song?)

Dan is renowned for his ability to create universally beloved stories and characters with both heart and humor. We couldn’t be happier to continue our collaboration with him and bring back the iconic Phineas and Ferb in a big way.

Dan had a lot to say about the new deal and what it might mean for the future of Phineas and Ferb and other shows like this one. After all, he’s remaking these cartoons for Generation Z.

It has been the greatest pleasure of my career to see how an entire generation of kids and parents have embraced the characters and the humor of Phineas and Ferb. I’m eagerly looking forward to diving back into the show for them and for a whole new generation.

The executive vice president of animation at Disney Branded TV is also pleased with this new development and cannot wait for fans to see what they have in store for them.

Dan is a true mastermind, and his brilliant brand of storytelling has always been infused with a kind-spirited and optimistic sense of humor which continues to strike a perfect chord with audiences the world over.

On behalf of everyone at Disney Television Animation, we’re so pleased to continue our association with Dan and his inspiring creative team ― visionary producers, writers, animators, song composers and directors who have entertained and connected with generations of viewers.

We don’t have much information or a firm release date for the new seasons as of yet. We do know that the new season will debut in 2024, and we can only hope that it will be sooner rather than later.
