The Movie Critic: Quentin Tarantino Reveals More Information About His Final Film!

Quentin-Tarantino-Releasing-His-New-Film

Quentin Tarantino, the writer/director behind hit films like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2, and the Hateful Eight, has revealed more details about his new (and reportedly final) film “The Movie Critic”. Yes! You heard it. He claims that this is his 10th and final film but sources cause us to believe there might be more coming from Tarantino before he’s truly done with film-making.

Who’s the inspiration behind the Quentin Tarantino’s Final Film?

Many people have speculated the inspiration behind The Movie Critic to be Pauline Kael, but instead Tarantino reveals his inspiration to actually be a critic who wrote for a ‘p*rno rag’ that he discovered while working as a vending machine restocker in his youth. He claims that the critic, while being ‘very, very funny’ was also ‘very rude’ and leaned towards profanities and r*cial slurs in his articles. Quentin when asked by a reporter from Deadline at Cannes Film Festival, opened up with more information about the critic that was chosen to be his muse. He announced initial uncertainty of the cause of the critics death, chalking it down to ‘complications due to alc*h*lism’ in his late thirties.

“He wrote about mainstream movies and he was the second-string critic, he says I think he was a very good critic. He was as cynical as hell. His reviews were a cross between early Howard Stern and what [Taxi Driver’s] Travis Bickle might be if he were a film critic. Think about Travis’s diary entries.”

Who will Quentin Tarantino choose to cast as his lead?

Tarantino has reportedly begun pre-pre production and is looking to cast an American male in his mid-thirties that ‘isn’t (so far) dipping into his established repertory group’. He has expressed concerns about the accents of Australian and British actors, resulting to his preference for an American lead. The director considers himself committed to going out with a bang with The Movie Critic, his last big screen release, but still plans to continue writing on other projects. He might end up making a TV series!
