Pedro Pascal’s name has been on everyone’s lips lately, thanks to his recent roles, which have received a lot of praise. His stunning portrayal of Joel, a broken man searching for meaning in his life, has catapulted him to fame.
Even before The Last Of Us series which is based on the infamous video game by Naughty Dog, Pedro Pascal had previously appeared in shows such as Game of Thrones, Narcos, and The Mandalorian. And he’ll appear in another project once more.
The movie ‘Weapons’ is going to be spearheaded by Zach Cregger.
This is, of course, the director of the surprise hit “Barbarian.” Because this film was such a success despite its low budget, many production companies wanted a piece of the action. That is why, in January, there was a heated bidding war for the rights to the new film by the Director.
Ultimately, New Line was successful and added a few stipulations to the deal, most notably that the film receive a guaranteed green light and theatrical release. This film is said to be a horror film in the vein of ‘Magnolia,’ with an interconnected story.
We don’t know much about the plot, and we’re not sure what kind of character Pedro Pascal will play in ‘Weapons,’ but we’re hopeful that he will nail whatever role he is in. Production will reportedly begin in the fall, and that is all we know about this new title for now.
