Netflix has renewed the Spanish teen drama Elite for an eighth season, and fans are freaking out! The show, which follows a group of students at an elite boarding school, has been a hit for the streaming service since its inception. Season 5 became the most-watched non-English language show on Netflix in 2022, and it’s clear that people can’t get enough of the drama and intrigue at Las Encinas.
What can we expect from the new season of ‘Elite’?
This show is a teen drama created by Carlos Montero and Jaime Vaca that has been aired since 2018. The series centres around the relationships between three working-class kids who are enrolled at the exclusive school through a scholarship program and their wealthier classmates, and one thing we can expect is the same scenario this season. Elite is adding two new faces to its cast for Season 8: Ane Rot, who previously starred in Killer Book Club and Nuno Gallego from UPA Next. Mina el Hammani, who recurred in the first three seasons, will also be reprising her role as Nadia! It is unclear what the exact plot of this new season will be but the show has been known for its twists and turns, so fans can expect plenty of surprises in Season 8.

Aside from Mina El Hammani and newcomers Ane Rot and Nuno Gallego, the cast also includes Ander Puig, Carmen Arrufat, lvaro de Juana, Ana Bokesa, lex Pastrana, André Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Carla Daz, Martina Cariddi, Adam Nourou, and Manu Ros. Mirela Balic, Fernando Lndez, Gleb Abrosimov, Ivan Mendes, Alejandro Albarracin, and Maribel Verdu also appeared in the previous season and might be getting an appearance in season 8.
