The release of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania disappointed many Marvel fans around the world, even starting a downward spiral in which everyone is eventually getting tired of superhero movies. While Marvel is not yet in the dumps, with this movie scoring an audience score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, the same cannot be said for the 47% given by critics. It is also the first Marvel film to fall short of the $500 million mark, coming in at $463 million. Many people slammed the film for having bad CGI and a plot that made no sense.
Not only that, but we also learned that the entire script of the show had previously been leaked on a subreddit aptly named MCU Leaks. Many fans believe that Jeff Loveness leaked the script after writing it for the film. And, while it would be ironic after the writer has defended the film and its ending so strongly, it would also make no sense.
I kind of love the ending that we landed on… I feel if you just strand Ant-Man in the Quantum Realm again, that is exactly what happened at the end of the second movie, and the way out of it is exactly what happens in ‘Endgame’.Jeff Loveness
Jeff Loveness revealing the Ant-Man 3 script makes no sense.
The main reason it would not make sense is that he would never jeopardize his future as a writer in the industry. Not only that, but he stands to gain nothing from it. While there is no word on who actually leaked it. When asked about it, Jeff was adamant that he would never do such a thing and that all of the claims were false.
When the script was leaked, the MCU shut down the subreddit, causing a huge uproar. However, before it was shut down, some fans speculated that the leak could have come from abroad and that it was the English subtitles that started it all. Jeff was also rumoured to be fired as the scriptwriter for Avengers: Kang Dynasty. But only time will tell how things progress and whether or not the film is even made, given the numerous allegations levelled against Kang actor Jonathan Majors.
