On September 12th, 2017 Apple announced something very special to their fans. At the Steve Jobs Theater, Apple commemorated the iPhone’s tenth anniversary by revealing a special edition phone called the iPhone X. iPhone X, otherwise known and pronounced as the iPhone 10, will delight fans everywhere.

In January 2016, a concept video to Tuvie dreamed of features that the iPhone X has although it was originally dreamed of as the iPhone 7. This concept featured a borderless display, the main feature in the iPhone X.

And now, only eight months after the Concept pictures went viral, Apple surprises us with something even better than we hoped. The iPhone X’s screen takes up almost all of the phone’s front. Coming in two colors, Space Grey and Silver, the iPhone X has a 5.8 inch Super Retina HD display. Apple brags of the first OLED screen for iPhone, which has amazing colors, a high brightness and a 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio.

It is also water and dust resistant, and has two choices for capacity; 64 GB or a whopping 256 GB.
What makes this phone even more cool is the TrueDepth Camera, which hosts cameras that use sensors to enable Face ID. It projects and analyzes more than 30,000 invisible dots, according to Apple’s website, to create a map of your face. So, instead of a password or a fingerprint, the iPhone X will actually read your unique face to unlock. It will also be used for authentication purposes and Apple Pay. Another feature of the iPhone X is known as Animoji. The camera looks at 50 different muscle movements to replicate your own expressions and turns them into 12 different Animoji in the form of a panda, pig, or robot. However, that’s not all! The iPhone X has no home button. Instead of the home button, users just slide up to bring the home screen.

Although many of the features in the iPhone X are not completely new, Apple has brought many features together into the same device that many fans are praising. Apple has also announced that the new iPhone will charge wirelessly and will release a charging mat called AirPower at the same time as the iPhone X.

You can pre-order the iPhone X October 27th, 2017 and will be available on November 3rd. According to Digital Trends, the price for an iPhone X is somewhere near $1000. With this in mind, you have to believe that the iPhone X will be an extraordinary piece of technology.
