Indira Varma, British actor of Indian Origin, who is best known for her role as Ellaria Sand in HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones, is the newest addition to the cast of the BBC’s Doctor Who. She has previously made an appearance as Suzie Costello in a spin-off series of doctor who called Torchwood, but now she’s officially entering the world of Doctor Who. Indira Varma will be seen in her mysterious role as the Duchess in Doctor Who. Varma has won the heart of audiences in the recent Disney+’s Star Wars franchise series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and now she is ‘particularly excited’ to be ‘crossing cosmic paths’ with Ncuti Gatwa as the 15th Doctor in “Doctor Who”.
