Now that Season 7 of the global phenomenon that is “Game of Thrones” is over, people have resorted to dissecting every scene of every episode for hidden clues, brewing theories and looking at each death that occurred over the course of the season with renewed interest. Though the season wasn’t as bloody like the previous ones, it still had its share of deaths. Which also *Spoiler Alert* included the death and re-birth of Viserion, the Dragon as “the” wall-destroying menace we thought we’ll never see.
Regardless, we should be thankful to artist Robert Ball for making a whole series of portraits titled “Beautiful Death” year-after-year, covering the most important deaths on the show. His stunning art-work is not without a delicate touch of mastery hidden in the colors. From Walder Frey’s reflection of that of a wolf in the water, to Dany’s broken chain indicating the loss of Viserion, all his portraits turn the macabre into the beautiful.
