Since the release of Fallout: New Vegas, many people have been hoping for a live-action adaptation of the Fallout franchise. The hype continued with subsequent releases such as Fallout 3 and 4. After all, it is a world full of stories, and everyone would have liked to see these stories told.

That’s exactly what fans were promised when a live-action TV show based on the popular video game was announced in October 2022. It hasn’t even been a year, but the show may have finished filming, according to an Instagram post shared by the lead actor, Walton Goggins.

It is expected to premiere in late 2023 or early 2024.

Fans haven’t gotten any hints as to what the story will be about, but we do know that it won’t be the same as previous games. While it is set in the same world, Walton Goggins will play a ghoul (a human who has been mutated but retains his senses).

This series is in good hands, as it is directed by Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, with executive director Todd Howard. From the photos we’ve seen, it’s clear that the show’s costumes and overall feel will be inspired by Fallout 3 and 4, rather than the earlier top-down adventures.

If the show has finished filing, as Walton Goggins claims, it won’t be long before we get more information and a trailer for it. Fans are eagerly awaiting any tidbit of information, as the conclusion of The Last Of Us’ first season has left audiences yearning for more spectacular video-game adaptations.
