Dune: Part 2 Has People Hyped With The Stunning Trailer Featuring A Sandworm

Fans have been anticipating Dune: Part 2 since HBO published the first one on October 22, 2021. Even though it had only been less than two years, many couldn’t wait for part two since they knew the tale of Timothee and Zendaya’s characters would continue.

The original film was a critical success and won numerous accolades, so there was no doubt that a sequel would be made. Yet the Director does not refer to Part 2 as a sequel. According to him, it is merely a continuation of the original film.

Part 2 of Dune isn’t truly a sequel.

There’s a difference. I wanted the movie to really open just where we left the characters. There’s no time jump. I wanted dramatic continuity with part one. It is going to be an action-packed, epic, war movie

Villeneuve

This is fantastic news for anyone who was frustrated by how little action was depicted in the first film. Part 2 had already begun production by July 2022, but Warner Bros. announced it just a few days after the first film was released on Oct. 26, 2021.

The trailer for Dune: Part 2 shows Timothee’s character Paul riding a sandworm.

The trailer didn’t reveal much about the plot of the film. But we do know that Paul will be seen on the planet Arrakis riding a massive sandworm. Not only that, but we see hints of a developing relationship between Paul and Chani (played by Zendaya).

Chalamet, Zendaya and Ferguson will be returning for Dune: Part Two including Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat, Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen Mohiam and Javier Bardem as Stilgar. Meanwhile, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux and Souheila Yacoub will join the franchise as Baron Harkonnen’s younger nephew Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, the Emperor’s daughter Princess Irulan, Emperor Shaddam IV of House Corrino, Fremen warrior Shishakli and Bene Gesserit Lady Margot.

Dune: Part 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on November 2, 2023.
