Captain America’s Beard Is More Popular Than “Avengers: Infinity War” Trailer On Twitter And Here Are The Stats to Prove it!

If you were living under a rock all this while or were just simply, you know, sleeping for the last 48 hours or so, the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was released by MARVEL and broke all the records on YouTube by becoming the most-watched video of all time in a single day with more than 230 million views.

Here’s the trailer again if you’re NOT one of those people who watched it (We for one have already watched it 230 times).

The whole gang is assembled and the incredible special effects are in full force. But is that what people noticed? Apparently not. Social Media research firm Fizziology released the numbers on what aspect of the trailer got the most mentions on Twitter. And the winner is…Captain America’s beard!

This summer, the first inkling of an all-new, all-different Cap came when the poster for Avengers: Infinity War proved that life on the run came with a stunning new crop of facial hair for Steve Rogers. From talk show hosts to comic book heroes, the beard has long been a way to showcase that the straits are dire and the road has been hard. After the events of Captain America: Civil War, fans knew it wouldn’t be easy for Steve and his Secret Avengers to continue to operate outside of the Sokovia Accords. However, just as Steve promised Tony, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer showed that Captain America will always be there when he’s needed.

Here are the numbers:

Captain America’s Beard (20,474 mentions)
Spidey sense (6,100 mentions)
Guardians at the end of the trailer (5,497 mentions)
Get this man a shield (2,180 mentions)
Group together running at end (2,108 mentions)

Wow, people are more interested in Cap’s face being protected by a beard than his body being protected by a shield. Could this be true?

Let’s find out from the reactions!

Though it’s only been a year since fans last saw Captain America in action, he clearly won the Infinity War trailer. Despite Spider-Man’s new costume, Thanos’ laundry day attire, and the return of the Hulkbuster, fans couldn’t get enough of Cap. From his facial hair to his heroism in the face of danger to his potential reunion with a Vibranium shield, Steve Rogers continues to reign supreme in the MCU.
