This New Pixar Short “KitBull” Will Make You Cry Like A Baby

Pixar is at it again!

Pixar always has something beautiful in store for us, and this time is definitely no exception!

Kitbull, from the Pixar’s SparkShorts program. Produced by Kathryn Hendrickson and Directed by Rosana Sullivan, this beautiful, heart trembling story features the rare friendship between an abused Pitbull and a stray kitten.  The sad scenario of the story will most likely bring you down to tears, so scroll down and enjoy this beautiful tale.

Don’t forget the paper towels though.

“To be fully honest, it started from a cat video,” – Rosie said. “I love watching cat videos in times of stress. And I thought, you know what, I just want to draw a little kitten doing something silly and very very cat-like. At first, I just wanted to draw something that made me feel good and was fun, but it evolved into something more personal to me, eventually, I realized that growing up I was always very sensitive and very shy. And had actually a lot trouble making connections, making friendships. So I related to this kitten because it never really stepped out of its comfort zone to be vulnerable and make a connection. So that’s eventually what the story became,” – The Director.

The story kicks off as a stray kitten wanders off in a neighborhood, residing in a cardboard box, the adorably cute-eyed kitten meets a Pitbull in an alley. The Pitbull, on the other hand, is highly abused by its inhuman owner.

Pitbulls are excellent, loving and loyal dogs. People need to understand that and this animation is just perfect to break the stigma hindering people from adopting the innocent breed. Also, Pitbulls, just because they’re muscular, doesn’t mean that they deserve to be physically abused.

In the start of the animation, the stray kitten is shy and fears the dog, of course. Later on, the beautiful nature of the dog breaks the denials of a lot of minds as it gets the kitten out of fear and the situation it was stuck in.

The Animation itself is nothing short of beautiful. The Producer Kathryn Hendrickson herself said that the animation was in a different dimension and was “Different from what Pixar normally does”.
