Netflix Is Ready to Make Your October Spookier With These Upcoming Scariest Things!

Halloween is just around the corner boys and girls and if you thought that Netflix, with its abundance of spook-you-till-you-go-cook slate of programming, will let you breathe a sigh of relief, boy, are you in for a surprise!

Here’s what’s coming to Netflix to scare the living wits out of you this Halloween season. So, perk up and get ready to scream!

1. “Stranger Things”: Season 2

After rescuing Will Byers from the Upside Down and the demogorgon, the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still being manipulated by dark forces. While trying to reclaim a sense of normalcy, it’s evident that Will is suffering from some sort of PTSD from his time in the upside down. Even though it seems like danger has been avoided an even bigger evil still threatens those who survived.

2. “Cult of Chucky”

Four years after the murder of her entire family, Nina has been confined to an asylum convinced she was the killer responsible. But when her therapist introduces a new “tool” to facilitate group therapy, a string of grisly murders immediately follow and Nina begins to wonder if she’s not actually crazy. With the help of Andy, Chucky’s nemesis from “Child’s Play”, Nina attempts to escape. But they’ll have to get through the bride of Chucky, Tiffany, who will do anything to help her demonic doll husband.

3. “88 Minutes”

Al Pacino plays famous forensic psychiatrist Dr. Jack Gramm, who is one of the most sought-after profilers around in this 2007 thriller. After his testimony, notorious serial killer Jon Forster is sentenced to death. But on the eve of Forster’s execution, one of Gramm’s students is murdered in a vicious copycat crime, and Gramm himself receives an ominous message informing him that he has 88 minutes to live.

5. “Raw”

In this 2016 French production, lifelong vegetarian Justine (Garance Marillier) arrives to start at a veterinary school and is thrown into a hazing ritual where the new students are forced to eat raw meat. She soon develops new terrifying urges and side effects, and her true self begins to emerge.

This 2017 Mexican psychological thriller has a reclusive psychologist who has stopped practicing medicine deciding against her better judgement to take the case of Veronica de la Serna, a young woman whose previous therapist mysteriously disappeared. As a condition of their treatment, the psychologist requires Veronica to stay with her in her country house for the duration of the treatment. But Veronica proves to be a patient unlike what the psychologist could have ever expected.

7. “The Survivalist”

Set in a dystopian future where oil production has ceased resulting in a total economic collapse, a survivalist has made a life for himself in the wild growing crops, foraging, and setting traps around his cabin to ward off intruders. When two women show up looking for food and shelter, his entire existence and world is threatened.

8. “Donnie Darko”

After surviving a freak accident, Donnie (Jake Gyllenhaal) is plagued by visions of a man in a large rabbit suit who manipulates him into committing several crimes. Over the course of 28 days, Donnie begins to explore what it means to be alive and uncovers secrets of the universe that give him a tempting power to shift time.

Based on the novella by Stephen King, 1922″ tells the story of farmer Wilfred James, his wife Arlette, and the aftermath of her brutal murder by him.

10. “OtherLife”

OtherLife is a revolutionary new drug that expands the brain’s sense of time and creates a virtual reality directly in the user’s mind. While on OtherLife, seconds feel like hours or even days of dreamlike reality. As the inventor of OtherLife tries to launch the product, she and her team are stopped by the government looking to use OtherLife as a solution to prison overcrowding. When she resists, she finds she’s been made an unwilling guinea pig trapped in a prison cell in her own mind.
